Prospective Students
I am always interested in talking to prospective students and maintain a list of possible thesis topics. Send me email and we can arrange to meet in my office or by phone.

At the Ph.D. level, I am looking for talented, highly motivated individuals who can both design and analyze algorithms, and build and evaluate robust non-trivial systems. I try not to have more than 3-4 Ph.D. students at one time, so I don't always have an open position. If you are interested, please contact me directly.

At the Masters level, I often have thesis ideas and am looking for interested students. Most of the students I take on have already taken a course in Parallel Computing. I am currently looking for students to work on the following topics:

  • Parallel query processing for OLAP systems
  • Parallel methods for Data Cube generation
  • Optimization Algorithms for View Selection in OLAP systems

I also have a number of topics associated with graphics and the LaHave project. Please contact me if you have any questions.
